Early and better appliance replacement schemes

12. 01. 2012

The "Come On Labels" project supports implementation of the EU labelling directive for energy-related products in a number of member states. The EU energy label alone, however, may be insufficient to persuade households to replace inefficient appliances or to ensure the market penetration of highly efficient appliances.

The newly published report therefore focuses on instruments intended to promote replacement of less efficient appliances and the market penetration of more efficient ones.

Its main objective is to create an overview of possible instruments, mention their respective advantages and drawbacks, and to present good practice examples.

Please, read the report HERE.
