Radio and television promotion of energy labels in Portugal

The Portugeese project partner participated in several radio and television programmes focused specifically on the explanation and promotion of energy labels to the general public and consumers:

ANTENNA 1 Radio: Um Minuto pela Terra (One Minute for the Earth) - focused on "New energy labels", broadcasted on 6th of January 2012. (link)

RTP 1 TV: Minuto Verde (Green Minute) - focused on the "New energy labels", broadcasted on 6th of January 2012, available also on RTP Internacional and RTP África, estimated number of viewers is half a million (link).

RTP 1 TV:  "Bom Dia Portugal", broadcasted on 22nd December 2012, also available at RTP Internacional and RTP África focusing on the new energy with labels, with estimated number of viewers over half a million (link).



Project poster designed and exhibited at Live Expo in Portugal

Quercus, the Portugeese project partner, has designed and exhibited a poster, focused on the explanation of the new energy labels. It was shown to the public the first time at the "Água & Energia Live Expo" Exhibition (Water & Energy Live Expo) which took place on the 22-25 March 2012 in Lisbon.

 

This Energy Live Expo event is targeted to professionals and stakeholders interested in energy efficiency, renewable energy and electric mobility fields.

Updated list of activities on product labelling compliance testing

The Come On Labels project has prepared an updated list of information about the activities undertaken related to the energy labelling verification testing around the EU (both on the national level, and as planned in three new European projects), as well as in Australia.

New label for TVs in Czech TV

On April 3rd, 2012, the Czech Come On Labels representative appeared on the Czech Television Channel 1 programme focusing on the protection of consumer rights, explaining the new energy labels and the difference in energy consumption by the TV technologies.

New Leaflet on Energy Label in Austria

The Austrian Come On Labels partner, Austrian Energy Agency in cooperation with the Association of Austrian Retailers developed a leaflet that explains the new energy label and informs about efficient appliances.

The leaflet will be distributed to the consumers through retailer shops all over Austria.

Presentation to students in Rome

A lesson to the students of the post-degree Master about Globalisation and Consumer's Protection  was held on 9 March at the Università degli Studi Roma TRE in Italy in March 2012.

The Master that is regularly kept each year, from January to June at the Faculty of Economics Federico Caffè of Rome for 30 students, is aimed at creating professional competences able to understand the market dynamics and to work for creating an efficient and transparent market as a way to protect consumers.

The lesson was titled "L'etichettatura energetica: strumento di promozione (globale) dell'efficienza energetica ?" (Energy labelling: tool for the (global) promotion of the energy efficiency?) . Find the presentation here.
