The Italian project partner delivered a presentation on the product energy labelling on a workshop about the biomass stoves within the European trade event and is showcasing about heating systems fueled by wood and wood products, such as the biomass.

The Italian version of the Come On Labels project's description of the EU legislation of product labelling has been updated to reflect the new legislation on air-conditioning units. Find the updated document here.

Appliance replacement schemes

The "Come On Labels" project supports implementation of the EU labelling directive for energy-related products in a number of member states. The EU energy label alone, however, may be insufficient to persuade households to replace inefficient appliances or to ensure the market penetration of highly efficient appliances.

The newly published report therefore focuses on instruments intended to promote replacement of less efficient appliances and the market penetration of more efficient ones.

Its main objective is to create an overview of possible instruments, mention their respective advantages and drawbacks, and to present good practice examples.

Czech retailer on energy labels

One of the largest Czech appliance retailers, Datart, member of KESA Electricals plc., has published a consumer magazine focused on household appliances and electric products, where special article was devoted to the new energy labelling and the explanation of the changes to the consumers.

The magazine has a widespread circulation in shops and the article can be downloaded here.
